Day 3: I CAN SEE THE LIGHT!

Last night was better for ole kooper! He didn't need to run to the bathroom ONCE! Needless to say this morning he sure did "let it all go" once he got outside :-). So in my first post i mentioned that i bought some stuff to put on his hot spots...So i overheard a lady talking at Kahoots pet store about how her dog gets really bad hot spots and she uses blah blah blah product and it works great! She goes on to tell the associate how she will never use anything else for her dogs hot spots..blah blah blah! so after being nosy i decided to ask her what product she has...Liquid Health K9 ear solutions ear cleaner. Its used to dry out the ear canal and reduce odors. On the back it says that it can be used for hot spots and minor skin eruptions, so i decided to try it.

Down sides

• It is purple, so it stains the white fur.
• smells like alcohol. 
• straight liquid, must be applied with cotton ball.
• must be applied twice daily

 So i havent seen any improvement yet with this, but then again its not specially formulated to treat hot spots. Ill do more research and see what else i can find. I saw TONS of different kinds at Kahoots, so many i just couldn't hardly decided. BUT my husband talked to a guy that said i should see an improvement in his skin and coat within a week or two of changing his food, so we will see! But for now im gonna keep doing vinegar soaks and antibacterial baths along with hot spot treatments until he gets better. :-(
